I have been mad about the UK since I was a little child. It all started with , Doctor Who. I grew up in a small town in North Eastern Kentucky, luckily for me we had a UHF tv antenna that picked up Public Broadcasting. Sneaking into the basement to watch the TV late at night as these British shows did not come on until late at night. I think I saw a few episodes of Doctor Who in the early sixties then the show vanished from site. In my later teens I remember watching Monte Python and trying not to laugh out loud in case I would wake up the rest of the household. I would put a pillow over my face and scream with laughter. I was hooked. As life has a way of moving on I watch less television and explored the rest of my world. Through my adult years I would catch a glimpse of a random Doctor Who show, Good neighbors, Faulty Towners and of course Master Piece Theater that was on every Sunday night. I looked forward to the show with great anticipation it was my weekly fix with my friends in the United Kingdom. Skipping ahead to modern day I get plenty to watch with BBC America and the internet. I got to make the trip of my lifetime when I went to England and Wales in the summer of 2009. I cant wait to get back to the place where I feel the most like me.
